NuTeV Collaboration
The primary physics goal is to measure sin**2(theta_W) to a precision of +-(0.002-0.003). The high precision is achieved by making use of a new high-intensity sign-selected neutrino beam. The new beam design permits clean separation of nu from nubar while providing enough intensity to maintain small statistical errors. Other goals include the study of the QCD scale parameter Lambda, the charm mass, the CKM matrix element V(cd), the effects of the strange quark sea and charm quark sea on proton, and searches for decays of neutral beam particles in the region upstream of the detector. Took physics data (July 96-August 97).
