The Department of Physics of the University at Buffalo (UB), The State University of New York, invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in theoretical particle physics to begin in the fall of 2014. We seek candidates with a strong background in collider phenomenology, who will complement and strengthen the current research efforts of the High-energy Physics and Cosmology group (HEPCOS) at UB. Faculty in the Physics Department are expected to maintain an excellent and well-funded research program, contribute to departmental teaching at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels, advise and mentor graduate students and provide service to the department, university, and community at large.

Candidates for this position are required to have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience in theoretical particle physics. For full consideration, all application materials must be received by December 1, 2013. The application must include a cover letter, separate research and teaching statements, describing current and planned research and teaching activities, and a curriculum vita including a list of publications.
