Abstract:
Spectra of identified charged hadrons are measured in p-Pb collisions at the LHC at sNN=\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 5.02\TeV. Charged pions, kaons, and protons in the transverse-momentum range \pt \approx 0.1--1.7~GeV/cc and laboratory rapidities y<1|y| < 1 are identified via their energy loss in the CMS silicon tracker. The average pTp_\text{T} increases rapidly with the mass of the hadron and the charged-particle multiplicity of the event. The fully corrected pTp_\text{T} spectra and integrated yields are compared to pp and Pb-Pb data at various collision energies and to several Monte Carlo event generators.
