Abstract:
A search for a standard model like Higgs boson decaying to two Z bosons with subsequent decay to a final state containing two leptons and two quark-jets, HZZ+qqˉ\mathrm{H\to ZZ \to\ell^+\ell^- q\bar{q}}, is presented. Results are based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.6~fb1^{-1} of proton-proton collisions at s=8\sqrt{s}=8~TeV and collected with the CMS detector at the LHC. The analysis exploits the kinematic information and the flavor tagging of the leading particles in the event for detecting candidate signals from a Higgs-like boson in the mass range from 230~GeV/c2/c^2 to 600~GeV/c2/c^2. No evidence for such a boson is found, resulting in upper limits on the production cross section.
