Abstract:
This note presents measurements of WZ production in proton-proton collisions at center of mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV with the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. Results are based on data corresponding to integrated luminosities of 4.9 fb1\rm{fb}^{-1} collected at s=7\sqrt{s}=7 TeV, and 19.6 fb1\rm{fb}^{-1} collected at s=8\sqrt{s}=8 TeV. The leptonic decay modes of the W and Z bosons into electrons and muons are considered. The inclusive WZ cross section is determined for the two energies, and the ratio of production cross sections for W+Z{\rm W^+Z} and WZ{\rm W^-Z} is determined.
