Job description:
The Department of Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks applicants for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions beginning August 2015. Applications from both experimentalists and theorists will be considered. For experimentalists, the target areas include: neutrino physics, astroparticle physics, dark matter searches, astrophysics and observational cosmology. Theory applicants are expected to contribute broadly in one or more of the fields of high energy phenomenology, neutrino physics, nuclear physics, string theory, and theoretical cosmology.
The candidates will be expected to perform teaching, high-impact scholarly research, and service duties. Undergraduate and graduate classroom and individual instruction as well as supervision of graduate thesis research are required.
