Search for Lepton Flavor Violation in Z decays in pp collisions at sqrt(s)=8 TeV

Abstract:
A search for lepton flavor violation in Z boson decays to one electron and one muon is performed. The data sample of proton-proton collisions at s=8 TeV collected by the CMS detector corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb−1. An observed (expected) limit on the branching fraction of B(Z→eμ)<7.3⋅10−7 (6.7⋅10−7) at 95% CL is obtained.Note:
