Abstract:
We present a search for the production of a heavy gauge boson decaying into a top quark and a bottom quark. The dataset used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 2.2 fb collected by the CMS experiment at TeV. The final state signature searched for is lepton () plus jets and missing transverse energy. We find no evidence of a and set 95 confidence level (C.L.) upper limits on its production cross-section times branching fraction. For bosons with purely right handed couplings, the observed (expected) 95 C.L. lower limit is 2.38 (2.17) TeV. These are currently the most stringent limits in this channel.Note:
