Abstract:
We present a measurement of the Λb\Lambda_{b} polarization based on an angular analysis of the decay ΛbJ/ψ(μ+μ)Λ0(pπ)\Lambda_{b}\to J/\psi(\mu^{+}\mu^{-}) \Lambda^{0}(p\pi^{-}), using data from pp collisions at s\sqrt{s} = 7 TeV and 8 TeV collected with the CMS detector. A transverse Λb\Lambda_{b} polarization of 0.000.00 ±0.06(stat)\pm0.06(stat) ±0.02(syst)\pm 0.02(syst) is measured. % This is an example of a \textit{CMS Note} written in \LaTeX % using the \emph{cms-tdr} document class and processed using the % same \texttt{tdr} perl script used in generating the CMS Physics TDRs. % Instructions for producing CMS Notes and Internal Notes are given.
