Abstract:
A search for pair production of first generation scalar leptoquarks is presented, considering a final state containing two electrons and at least two jets, using proton-proton collision data at s=13 TeV\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}. The data were recorded with the CMS detector at the LHC during 2015, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 2.6 fb12.6~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}. First generation scalar leptoquarks with masses less than 11301130 (920920) GeV~\mathrm{GeV} are excluded for β=1.0\beta = 1.0 (β=0.5\beta = 0.5), where β\beta is the branching fraction of a leptoquark decaying to a charged lepton and a quark.
