In the past century there have been very great progresses in understanding the world around us by means of the celebrated quantum field theory, an extremely powerful tool which allow us to understand a large amount of different physical phenomena, from elementary particle physics to condensed matter physics. Our ability to ex- tract results from a quantum field theory mostly relies on perturbation theory. In this framework the physical observables are usually evaluated as an expansion in pow- ers of the coupling constant, i.e. a dimensionless parameter, g, which measures the departure from a free field theory.
