Assistant Professor Department of Physics University of Texas at Austin
  The Department of Physics at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.

The Department has active research programs in a broad range of topics, including theory and experiment in condensed matter; particle and nuclear physics – including fundamental theory and cosmology; atomic, molecular, optical, and plasma physics – including high-intensity laser physics and fusion studies; complexity and nonlinear systems; and biophysics. Applications are welcome in all of these areas, as well as in quantum information physics where a new research program is being established.

We are interested in individuals who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service. The position offers excellent start-up funds, salary, and laboratory space in a dynamic and highly interactive research environment. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) and a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and research.
