Job description:
As part of the new multidisciplinary initiative in “Big Data” the Department of Physics and Astronomy (http://physics.clas.wayne.edu) at Wayne State University in Detroit invites applications for several tenure and tenure-track positions at the Assistant/Associate professor level in Experimental or Theoretical High Energy Physics with emphasis on Data Science.
Candidates must hold a PhD degree in physics or in a closely related discipline and have demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching. The new hires will form an interdisciplinary group of faculty interested in shaping the research and education agenda in Big Data at Wayne State University (https://bigdata.wayne.edu/).
