The ATLAS group at the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) is looking for a postdoctoral research fellow in the field of DATA SCIENCE/Experimental High Energy Physics for an exciting new research focusing on implications and developing of Deep Learning methods for analysing the huge ATLAS DATA.
 At the moment our group is focusing on heavy flavour tag, particle flow and anomalies detection. Some details can be found here: http://www.weizmann.ac.il/particle/Gross/ .
The post is to be based in WIS [1] with frequent trips to CERN and Workshops if necessary.

 

The applicant should have a PhD degree in physics and/or computer science, with excellent programming skills. Experience in machine-learning techniques is an advantage.

Applicants can start employment no later than 5 years after receiving their PhD, while employment can extend up to 7 years after receiving the PhD.
