Abstract: (IOP)
A multi-TeV muon collider offers a spectacular opportunityin the direct exploration of the energy frontier. Offering acombination of unprecedented energy collisions in a comparativelyclean leptonic environment, a high energy muon collider has theunique potential to provide both precision measurements and thehighest energy reach in one machine that cannot be paralleled by anycurrently available technology. The topic generated a lot ofexcitement in Snowmass meetings and continues to attract a largenumber of supporters, including many from the early careercommunity. In light of this very strong interest within the USparticle physics community, Snowmass Energy, Theory and AcceleratorFrontiers created a cross-frontier Muon Collider Forum in Novemberof 2020. The Forum has been meeting on a monthly basis and organizedseveral topical workshops dedicated to physics, acceleratortechnology, and detector R&D. Findings of the Forum are summarizedin this report.- Accelerator Applications
- Accelerator Subsystems and Technologies
- Instrumentation for particle accelerators and storage rings - high energy (linear accelerators, synchrotrons)
- Large detector systems for particle and astroparticle physics
- muon: storage ring
- energy: high
- accelerator: technology
- muon: energy
