Using the ARGUS detector at the e + e − storage ring DORIS II, we have measured the v τ energy spectrum in the decay π + π − π ± v τ of τ leptons produced near s =10 GeV . From this energy spectrum, we derive an upper limit of m(v τ )<70 MeV c 2 at the 95% confidence level.
