To test on the occurrence of the non-trivial BMB fixed point we study the phase diagram of O( N )-symmetric φ 6 3 models in the limit of infinite φ 6 -coupling. Our Monte Carlo results for N = 5, 10 and 30 confirm that the so-called BMB phenomenon could be a large- N effect.
