Abstract: (Elsevier)
Excited leptons have been searched for using data recorded by the OPAL detector at LEP. No evidence for such particles has been found. From the study of e + e − → ℓ + ℓ − γγ events, lower limits on the masses of spin- 1 2 excited leptons are found to be 44.9 GeV at 95% confidence level. From the study of e + e − →ℓ + ℓ − γ events, upper limits on their couplings are set up to ℓ ∗ masses close to the mass of the Z 0 boson.- electron positron: colliding beams
