Abstract: (Elsevier)
Using the ARGUS detector at the e + e − storage ring DORIS II at DESY, we have obtained the first evidence for B meson decays into χ c mesons. The inclusive branching ratio for the decay B → χ c X was measured to the (1.05±0.35±0.25)% assuming no χ c2 production. In addition, four candidates for the exclusive decay B ± → χ c1 K ± have been observed, corresponding to a branching ratio of (0.19 ± 0.13 ± 0.06)%.- electron positron: colliding beams
