Abstract: (APS)
We have searched for new, heavy, charged bosons W′ through the decay W′→eν in pp¯ collisions at s=1.8 TeV. The data used in the search represent 19.7 pb–1 collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab. Limits are placed on σB(pp¯→W′→eν) as a function of MW′. Assuming standard couplings of the W′ to fermions, we establish the limit MW′>652 GeV /c2 (95% C.L.).
