Abstract: (Elsevier)
A study of hadronic events with high jet-multiplicity is performed using the data sample collected by the L3 experiment at LEP at s =130−172 GeV . The observed event rates agree with the Standard Model predictions and upper limits are set on the production cross section of pairs of heavy particles that decay hadronically.- electron positron: colliding beams
- electron positron: annihilation
- jet: multiple production
- final state: (4jet)
- electroweak interaction: validity test
- new particle: search for
- Higgs particle: pair production
- Higgs particle: hadronic decay
- production: upper limit
