Cross sections for e + e − → hadrons, π + π − J / ψ , and μ + μ − have been measured in the vicinity of the ψ (2 S ) resonance using the BESII detector operated at the BEPC. The ψ (2 S ) total width; partial widths to hadrons, π + π − J / ψ , leptons; and corresponding branching fractions have been determined to be Γ t =264±27 keV; Γ h =258±26 keV, Γ π + π − J / ψ =85.4±8.7 keV, and Γ l =2.44±0.21 keV; and B h =(97.79±0.15)%, B π + π − J / ψ =(32.3±1.4)% , and B l =(0.93±0.08)%, respectively.Note:
