Abstract:
Double-polarization asymmetries for inclusive scattering were measured at Jefferson Lab using 2.6 and 4.3 GeV longitudinally polarized electrons incident on a longitudinally polarized NH target in the CLAS detector. The polarized structure function was extracted throughout the nucleon resonance region and into the deep inelastic regime, for GeV. The contributions to the first moment were determined up to GeV. Using a parametrization for in the unmeasured low regions, the complete first moment was estimated over this region. A rapid change in is observed for GeV, with a sign change near GeV, indicating dominant contributions from the resonance region. At GeV our data are below the pQCD evolved scaling value.- electron p: inclusive reaction
- electron: polarized beam
- p: polarized target

- polarization: asymmetry

- structure function: polarization
- structure function: moment
