Abstract: (IOP)
We investigate the effect of R-parity violation in the rare semileptonic decay mode ?b? ??+??. In the standard model this process is highly suppressed as it is induced by the FCNC mediatedb?stransition, which occurs only through loops. However, in the R-parity violating supersymmetric model it occurs at the tree level due to the exchange of sleptons and squarks. We find that due to this new tree level contribution, its branching ratio is enhanced reasonably from the corresponding standard model value. We also find a nonvanishing transverse ? polarization, the observation of which in futureBfactories would strongly indicate the presence of new physics.
