Study of the eta-Be-7 Interaction Near Threshold in p-Li-6 Fusion

We present a calculation for η\eta production in the p6Lip-^6Li fusion near threshold including the η7Be\eta-^7Be final state interaction (FSI). We consider the 6Li^6Li and 7Be^7Be nuclei as αd\alpha-d and α3He\alpha-^3He clusters respectively. The calculations are done for the lowest states of 7Be^7Be with J=(32,12)J = ({3\over2}^-, {1\over2}^-) resulting from the L=L = 1 radial wave function. The η7Be\eta-^7Be interaction is incorporated through the η7Be\eta-^7Be TT-matrix, constructed from the medium modified matrices for the η3He\eta-^3He and ηα\eta-\alpha systems. These medium modified matrices are obtained by solving few body equations, where the scattering in nuclear medium is taken into account.
