Abstract: (Elsevier)

It is possible to extend the formalism for high-p_T heavy quarkonium factorization beyond leading power. This extension may be helpful in interpreting the relative roles of octet and singlet channels in the formalism of nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) . It may enable us to understand the origin of the surprisingly large results for cross sections calculated in the color singlet sector of NRQCD.
