In this paper we provide a concrete model-independent geometrical framework for the Buchdahl limit in general relativity and show that the Buchdahl limit is equivalent to a relativistic version of the Newtonian Virial theorem. Moreover we explicitly provide a mechanism by which a star can continue to stay in Virial equilibrium via continuous radiation.
