Both narrow and wide band beams are used. Measures total cross sections and x and y distributions of neutral and charged current interactions. Several rare processes have been seen. This apparatus follows behind that of experiment WA-001, and part of this experiment is to measure the polarization of mu+s produced in that one (these latter reactions have Fe as target). The upgraded detector incorporates 78 planes of streamer tubes.
