Job description:
The National Energy Research Supercomputing Center (NERSC) invites applications for several available postdoctoral researcher positions in applied machine learning: https://lbl.referrals.selectminds.com/jobs/nesap-for-learning-postdoctoral-fellow-2788
One of the accepted projected in this call for NESAP proposals is aimed at machine learning for high energy physics, including generative models and anomaly detection. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with exciting research in a strong community of other applied machine learning and data science researchers. Please consider applying to one of these NESAP postdoc openings!
While there are many NESAP postdoc openings, if you are interested in this project in particular, we encourage you to apply and let Wahid Bhimji, Benjamin Nachman, and Jean Roch Vlimant know by email (details below).
The anticipated start date is fall 2020. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in nuclear/particle/astro particle physics, applied machine learning, or a related discipline. Familiarity with modern machine learning tools is preferred but not required.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until positions have been filled.
