Job description:
We are looking for three female scientists to become part of the Christine Mohrmann Fellowship Programme. The Faculty of Science at Radboud University (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) initiated the Christine Mohrmann Fellowship programme in 2016 to attract and promote talented women with outstanding potential in the natural sciences or other areas of science, including mathematics and computer science. Three Mohrmann professorships are available in the Faculty of Science.
Depending on your performance and seniority, you will be appointed at the Associate (UHD) or Full Professor level. The professorship includes an attractive start-up package (to be specified further, depending on the field of research), an excellent guidance and peer-to-peer programme, and arrangements to balance your work and private life. The faculty's highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment offers exceptional research and teaching opportunities to independent and motivated female scientists.
Within the Faculty of Science, High Energy Physics department is part of the Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics (IMAPP). The department consists of 15 staff scientists and about 30 PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers, performing cutting-edge theoretical and experimental research in particle physics and gravity. We are involved in several major projects in particle and astroparticle physics such as the ATLAS and DUNE experiments, as well as the Pierre Auger Observatory and GRAND. We maintain close collaborations with our colleagues in the Astrophysics and Mathematics departments. Radboud University is one of the founding partners of Nikhef, the national institute for subatomic physics, which coordinates the particle and astroparticle physics activities in the Netherlands.
