Job description:
The Experimental High Energy Physics group in the Department of Physics at the University of Cincinnati seeks candidates for a post-doctoral Research Associate position to work on the LHCb experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider.

The successful candidate will perform measurements of Electroweak/QCD physics and searches for exotic new physics with LHCb, and will contribute to the successful operation of the LHCb detector.

Candidates for the position must have, or be about to obtain, a PhD or equivalent in experimental high-energy physics or a closely-related field.
The ideal candidate will also have:
 - advanced programming skills with C++ or Python languages
 - experience with data analysis in high energy physics
 - experience with high energy physics detector operations or construction
 - the capability for effective scientific communication

The position is available to start in January 2022, and is for one year initially, with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.
The position is preferred to be based at the CERN laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland.
