Job description:
The Particle Theory Group of the Brussels University (ULB) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in astroparticle theory, including physics of high-energy cosmic rays. Candidates with a background in astrophysics and/or cosmology are also strongly encouraged to apply.
The appointment is initially for two years starting in Fall 2022, and may be extended by one year subject to funding. Earlier start from 1 June 2022 is also possible.
The Particle Theory Group of the Brussels University currently consists of Sebastien Clesse, Thomas Hambye, Laura Lopez Honorez, Peter Tinyakov and Michel Tytgat, several postdocs and graduate students. The research interests of the group cover a wide range of topics in fundamental interactions, particle and astroparticle physics and cosmology.
A successful candidate is expected to work part of the time on theoretical interpretation of recent cosmic ray data, in particular those collected by the Telescope Array experiment.
