Job description:
The LHCb group at the University of Maryland (Professors Manuel Franco Sevilla and Hassan Jawahery) invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate. The successful candidate is expected to have strong programming skills and will participate in the development of next-generation simulation techniques aided by machine learning as well as data analysis focused on searches for lepton flavor universality violation. Our group is also involved in the installation and operation of the readout electronics for the new Upstream Tracker, measurements of CP violation, and is open to new lines of research as well. The candidate would be based in the Washington DC area with prolonged stays at CERN depending on the applicant's preference and the experiment needs.
