The Faculty of Science at the University of Bern invites applications for a

Professorship in Theoretical High-Energy Physics

(100% employment level) opening on February 1, 2024, at the Institute for Theoretical Physics (ITP) of the Albert Einstein Center for Fundamental Physics (AEC). We aim to fill the position at the level of Assistant Professor Tenure Track, but in exceptional cases an appointment as Associate Professor or Full Professor can also be considered.

The successful candidate should have a strong research record in quantum field theory and its application to non-perturbative phenomena, using analytical or numerical methods. He/she is expected to build an internationally successful group, be active in acquiring external funding, participate in teaching at all levels, and supervise Bachelor, Master, and PhD students.
