Deadline on Aug 22, 2022
Job description:
The experimental high energy physics group at Texas A&M University invites applications for postdoctoral research associate positions to work on the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).

The Texas A&M University CMS group, led by Profs. Ricardo Eusebi, Teruki Kamon, and Alexei Safonov, is actively engaged in physics analyses focusing on non-Standard Higgs searches and cosmologically motivated scenarios of new physics, detector and electronics R&D, muon and trigger upgrades, as well as detector operations.  Candidates should generally anticipate taking leading roles in physics analyses as well as detector upgrade R&D and/or operations and should expect a non-negligible amount of travel, including internationally.  Primary locations for the positions include CERN, Texas A&M University, or Fermilab, and are negotiable depending on individual circumstances and specific projects; primary location may change over time as projects evolve. We seek to fill this position as soon as possible, but the actual start date is negotiable.

Candidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in experimental particle physics or a related field and must have demonstrated abilities pertinent to the anticipated activities.  While we anticipate successful candidates to join the group as soon as possible, the actual start date may be negotiable. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

To apply, upload a single pdf with cover letter, CV, publication list, and a brief statement of research interests (maximum five pages) at https://jobs.tamu.edu for posting R-044565 (Postdoctoral Research Associate).  As part of the application process, applicants will be required to provide names and contact information of at least three references. Applications will be considered until the position is filled; the deadline for guaranteed full consideration is August 22, 2022.  For more information contact Prof. Safonov at safonov@tamu.edu or any of the PIs in the group.
