Job description:
The Collaborative Innovation Center for Particles and Interactions (CICPI) at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) invites applications for a postdoctoral position for the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The particle physics laboratory at USTC is a leading research center in China. The USTC CMS Group has a strong focus on Higgs boson physics including searches for the diHiggs production and search for the Higgs boson decaying to a pair of muons.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. (or expected soon) in experimental particle physics. The candidate should have excellent data analysis skills and/or good experience in particle detector instrumentation, and the ability to carry out an independent research program. The successful candidate is expected to play a key role in physics analysis and will also have opportunities to work on the Endcap Timing Layer of the MIP Timing Detector in the CMS Phase-2 Upgrade. The initial term of the position is two years with a possible extension. The successful applicant could be based at CERN, USTC or a combination of both depending on project need and personal circumstance.
