Job description:
The Institute of Physics at the University of Freiburg welcomes applications for a PhD position (m,f,d) in Theoretical Particle Physics. The position will be embedded within the research group lead by Prof. Dr. Stefan Dittmaier. The work will be supervised by Prof. Dr. Stefan Dittmaier and Dr. Mathieu Pellen. The focus of work lies on electroweak higher-order corrections in relation with parton showers. The position is available immediately; ideally the candidate will start before July 2023.

The successful candidate will receive an employment contract. Salary and benefits are based on the German public service pay scale (67% TVL E13 position). The position is initially limited to three years. A master’s degree in physics or equivalent as well as working experience in particle theory are required by the starting date.
