The scholarships are under the supervision of Dr. Ufuk Aydemir, who is a researcher (at the level of Visiting Assist. Prof.) at the Department of Physics, Middle East Technical University (METU-ODTÜ). Due to the university regulations, Dr. Aydemir will act as the co-advisor of the students and the students will be required to find their supervisors.
Regardless of nationality, any candidate eligible to be a student in Türkiye can apply, including current students at METU-ODTÜ and other universities in Türkiye.
1) MSc scholarship: 2 years of duration. A BSc degree in physics is required and should be completed by the starting date of the scholarship.
The monthly amount: 7.275 TL (full-time) / 2.180 TL (part-time). (“Part-time” indicates that it is for students who are already employed, not the amount of research time). There is also a monthly bonus of 1500 TL.
