The LHCb/CODEX-b group at Dept. of Atomic Physics, Eotvos University (ELTE) invites motivated and qualified candidates to apply for the Marie Curie Individual Fellowship in 2023. The candidates will also be eligible for participation in the ERA widening fellowship.

We are specifically interested in candidates with expertise in one of the following topics:

– searches for New Physics via amplitude analyses in rare b-> s l+ l- and b -> s gamma processes at LHCb Run3

– development of heterogeneous architecture amplitude analysis software for hadron spectroscopy with large datasets during LHCb Run3

– instrumentation involving RPCs (CODEX-b) and fast PMTs (LHCb Upgrade II PicoCal)

– development of a simulation framework to integrate CODEX-b into LHCb and joint trigger lines in LHCb+CODEX-b

Significant travel to and stays at CERN is anticipated. 

ELTE is the largest university in Hungary and has a large astrophysics group, also participating in CMS, DUNE, LIGO, LSST, NA61, NUSTAR, Pan-STARRS, PHENIX, STAR, and T2K. The department provides excellent infrastructure for research.
