Job description:
The theoretical particle physics group at the University of Iowa Department of Physics and Astronomy invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in neutrino physics and related phenomenology. The initial appointment is for one year, with a second-year renewal contingent on performance and continued funding. The successful candidate will work with the group of Professor Mary Hall Reno.
The applicant must hold a PhD in physics or astronomy at the time of the appointment. A record of publications in neutrino physics/related phenomenology and experience with Monte Carlo generator tools and other high energy software tools used in phenomenology research are desirable. Application material includes a curriculum vitae, a list of publications and talks, a cover letter that includes research interests and experience, and contact information for at least two references. Applicants should have at least two letters of recommendation sent to mary-hall-reno@uiowa.edu. The position has a negotiable start date.
