Job description:
The Columbia University Department of Physics invites applications for two assistant professor positions. One will begin on July 1, 2024 and the second position, pending budgetary approval, will begin on July 1, 2025.
We seek candidates in the areas of theoretical high energy physics and experimental high energy physics. It is expected that the candidates will develop a vigorous independent research program, continuing the long Columbia record of forefront accomplishment in science.
Applicants for the positions must possess a doctoral degree in Physics or a related field and have demonstrated the ability to do pioneering research as well as the promise of excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Review of applications and scheduling of interviews will begin December 1, 2023 and will continue until the positions are filled.
