The Department of Theoretical Physics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and the Instituto de Física Teórica UAM-CSIC (IFT) welcome applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position in the areas of particle physics theory and phenomenology. A third year extension could be possible depending on funding availability.

The senior members of the project under which the contract will be funded are: Enrique Alvarez, Enrique Fernandez-Martinez, Belen Gavela, Maria Jose Herrero, Luis Ibañez and Luca Merlo. The IFT is a lively institute with many experts in different fields among its members.

The expected starting date is september 2024, but there is some flexibility if necessary. Applications completed before Dec. 1st will receive full consideration, but applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. The IFT adheres to the HET postdoc accord such that no offer will be made whose acceptance deadline is earlier than February 15th.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. by the time they would take the position and demonstrated research expertise in areas pertinent to the job.
