The Theoretical High Energy Physics Group at the Institute for Physics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz offers several positions at the postdoctoral level (TV-L E13). The appointments are for three years starting in Fall 2024.

The group consists of Julia Harz, Tobias Hurth, Hans Jockers, Joachim Kopp, Matthias Neubert, Martin Reuter, Pedro Schwaller, Carlos Tamarit, Stefan Weinzierl, Felix Yu, and Jens Erler (KPH), as well as a significant number of postdoctoral fellows, PhD and master students. The interests of the group cover a wide range of topics in particle physics, astrophysics, and field theory such as collider phenomenology, flavor and top quark physics, strong interactions, scattering amplitudes, string theory, supersymmetric field theories, effective field theory, extensions of the standard model, extra dimensions, neutrino physics, dark matter, gravitational waves, particle cosmology, and connections to mathematics. Our research activities are integrated with the Excellence Cluster "Precision Physics, Fundamental Interactions and Structure of Matter" (PRISMA+) in Mainz (www.prisma.uni-mainz.de). The proximity to the Mainz Institute for Theoretical Physics (mitp.uni-mainz.de/) ensures excellent opportunities for international collaboration. In addition, postdocs can profit from exchange agreements with ICTP/SAIFR (Sao Paulo), Fermilab, the Tata Institute (TIFR, Mumbai) and Kavli IPMU (Tokyo).
