The Department of Physics at the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position starting in or around March 2024. The successful candidate will work  on the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC with Dr. Zdenek Hubacek. Analysis will be focused on investigation of events containing high pT jets collected by ATLAS in Run 3 to measure the inclusive jet and dijet cross sections. Position is initially available for 24 months with a potential for extension depending on the funding situation.

The group currently consists of 2 staff members, one PhD student and one master student and is involved in the measurement of the inclusive jet cross section and related analyses as well as in the Simulation group. Other CTU in Prague members are also involved in the Simulation, ITk upgrade, luminosity measurement and Higgs physics, EW and B-physics analyses.
