Job description:
Department of Fundamental Research of the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), Warsaw, Poland, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in (astro)particle theory and phenomenology for a 2 year period within the project Exploring the light dark sector of the Universe financed by the National Science Centre in Poland.

NCBJ is the largest research institute in Poland. The members of the Particle Theory group at NCBJ work on various topics in (astro)particle phenomenology and theory. The group offers very good working conditions in an active, international environment.

Project: 
The successful candidate will join the project focused on light and ultra-light new physics species, as well as possible existing and novel ways of their detection. The postdoctoral researcher will work with Dr. Sebastian Trojanowski and other team members, including postdoctoral researchers and a Ph.D. student, while also being expected to participate in collaborative projects with local and international collaborators.

We are seeking candidates who obtained their Ph.D. degrees in theoretical particle physics or a closely related field no earlier than in 2017 and no later than by fall 2024. Experience in (astro)particle phenomenology, particle cosmology, or dark matter and collider physics will be especially valuable.

Contract:

Duration: 24 months
Starting date: Fall 2024
Salary: about 75 000 PLN/year (net) + substantial travel budget
