Postdoctoral positions in High Energy Experiments

Job description:
Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China invites applications for two postdoctoral fellow positions to work on detector R&D related to ATLAS Phase-II muon detector upgrade and/or PFA based calorimeter prototype aiming for future electron-positron collider. The successful candidate is expected to make major contributions to the ATLAS Muon RPC trigger, including detector design, mass production and performance tests etc. The candidate is encouraged to join the R&D effort on design, construction and test beam of crystal-based calorimeter prototype with high granularity for future accelerator. Partial involvement in the physics analysis is also possible.

The initial appointment is 2 years with possible extension up to 5 years based on mutual satisfaction. The successful candidate is expected to be mainly based in Shanghai, with necessary trips to CERN or other collaboration institutes. The candidate should have his/her Ph.D. in experimental particle physics or nuclear physics, preferably with experience in detector work.
 
SJTU provides competitive salary and stipend for postdoctoral researcher.
