Job description:
The Theory Group at the Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE), at the UAB Campus (Barcelona), is a vibrant international group working on Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics and Cosmology. Current members include D. Blas, E. Masso, C. Murgui, A. Pomarol, O. Pujolas, F. Rompineve, M. Quiros and A. Wulzer.
We invite expressions of interest for PhD positions applications on Theoretical Physics, with starting date in early 2025. This is a full time position. The PhD research topic will be along our strategic research lines: BSM physics, collider physics, theoretical aspects of quantum field theory, gravitation, gravitational waves, cosmology or astroparticle physics. The group has an extended research record on these lines (check https://www.ifae.es/ for more information about the group).
The previous areas are complemented with active collaboration with the experimental colleagues at IFAE working on colliders, cosmology, gravitational waves, astroparticles and quantum technologies (check also https://www.ifae.es/ for more information about these groups).
Candidates should have a Master Degree in Physics (before the job starting date). In the application they must provide a CV, including full list of University Grades, and two Reference Letters, to be sent through the portal
The deadline for applications is November 30th 2024. The selection will be based on the academic and scientific record of the candidate, the recommendation letters and the potential of the candidate to integrate well in the group.
For further information please contact: Oriol Pujolas (pujolas@ifae.es) or Diego Blas (dblas@ifae.es) , or Andrea Wulzer (awulzer@ifae.es).
