Job description:
The high-energy phenomenology groups of the INFN Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) and of the Rome 3 Unit are expected to have in early 2025 an opening for a joint two-year postdoctoral position, starting in October 2025.
The postdoctoral position will be based at LNF for the whole duration of the contract.
We shall welcome applications from all research areas of theory and phenomenology, both within and beyond the Standard Model, at the LHC and future colliders.
Research expertise in the physics of the Higgs sector will be considered advantageous.
The staff includes Emanuele Bagnaschi, Gennaro Corcella, Vittorio Del Duca and Federico Mescia at LNF, and Giuseppe Degrassi, Roberto Franceschini, Davide Meloni, Cecilia Tarantino, Vittorio Lubicz and Marco Ciuchini in the Rome 3 Unit.
There are close contacts with the Rome universities and the INFN Units of Rome 1, 2 and 3, as well as with the ATLAS, CMS, LHCb and ALICE, PADME and FLASH local experimental groups.
Applicants who are potentially interested in the position are encouraged to contact and send a CV, a research statement, and arrange for two reference letters to be sent to Emanuele Bagnaschi (emanuele.angelo.bagnaschi@lnf.infn.it).
Built in 1955, the Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) were the first Italian research facility for the study of nuclear and subnuclear physics with accelerators and are the largest laboratory of the INFN. They are located southeast of Rome and are easily reachable from the center of city with a regional train. Daily commuting from Rome is possible.
