Job description:
Applications are invited for several postdoctoral positions in the Interdisciplinary Center for Theoretical Study (ICTS) at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and in the Peng Huanwu Center for Fundamental Theory (PCFT) mainly supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. These positions are expected to start in the fall of 2025 or earlier.

The research interests include string/M-theory and its related applications, quantum field theory and scattering amplitudes, gravity and cosmology, particle and nuclear physics, mathematical physics, etc.

The positions are for 2 years and renewable for an additional year, contingent on availability of funding and the postdocs' research performance. The annual salary is from 150,000 to 250,000 CNY, depending on qualifications. Travel funding will be provided, allowing the postdocs to travel for conferences and collaboration. Various university benefits are also provided, including staff health insurance coverage and housing subsidies.

Exceptional candidates will be considered for the Distinguished University Fellowships, carrying an additional salary increase which ranges from 50,000 to 150,000 CNY per year.
