The position is based at the Institute for Astroparticle Physics (IAP), one of the world-leading institutes in experimental astroparticle physics. You will receive graduate training at the Karlsruhe School of Elementary Particle and Astroparticle Physics (KSETA) and benefit from being part of a large group of students and scientists working on a variety of astroparticle experiments including the Pierre Auger Observatory and IceCube. The successful candidate is expected to present their results at collaboration meetings, international conferences and to

participate in data-taking shifts at the observatory site in Argentina.

The position is limited to three years and the salary is based on the Tarifvertrag deutscher Länder (65% E 13 TV-L). Qualification: The successful candidate must have an MSc degree in physics with a specialization in particle or astroparticle physics with excellent academic performance, strong proficiency in English and experience in data analysis and

scientific computing, particularly with Python and C++.
